History:
Founded In Kurume, Japan In 1873, Moonstar First Began As A Producer Of The Traditional Japanese Footwear Called Tabi, A Thin Five-Toed Slip On Shoe With A Rubber Sole. In 1967, Moonstar Factories Adopted A Process Called Direct Injection And The Productivity And Durability Of This Method Perfected Over Time Eventually Drove Moonstar To Start Manufacturing Japanese School Shoes, Which In Japan Must Meet Rigid And High Standards. As A Result, Moonstar Currently Manufactures Over 80% Of The School Shoes Worn By Students Across Japan. Moonstar Later Developed Internal Brands Like Shoes Like Pottery, Which Was Built On Moonstar’S Place As Leaders In A Type Of Vulcanizing Called Ka-Ryu, A Process Performed Only By Only A Select Handful Of Shoe Manufacturers Around The World. In The Ka-Ryu Process, Each Shoe Is Fired In A Kiln Which Causes The Sulfur Mixed Inside The Raw Rubber To Chemically React, Returning The Rubber To Its Natural Elasticity And Creating A Soft, Flexible, And Durable Sole.
