Ceramic Birds In A Simple Round Silhouette That Express A Warm Serenity. The Beautiful Gradation On Each Bird, Combined With Its Curious Positioning, Looking Up Or Down, Adds A Whimsy And Charm So The Birds Appear To Be Communicating With Each Other When Placed Together In A Group. Each Bird Comes With A Thin Rubber Ring-Shaped Stand So That It Sits Peacefully In Place. Handmade In An Atelier In Osaka, Japan – Each Bird Is Molded, Carved, Glazed And Fired In Small Batches.

History:
Born In Osaka Prefecture, Rie Ito Obtain Her Graduate Degree From The Osaka University Of Arts. She Began Making Pottery In High School And Set Up Her Atelier In Osaka 20 Years Ago. Having Presented Her Work In Numerous Solo And Group Exhibitions Both At Home And Abroad, Her Ceramic Ornaments Have Generous Forms With A Warmth That Makes You Want To Touch Them. In 2009, Rie Launched The Ceramic Brand Birds’ Words With Masanao Tomioka, The Design Director Featuring A Range Of Pottery That Show A Great Attention To Detail In Its Molding, Coloring, Firing And Finish.
