History:
Riki Watanabe (1911-2013) Was A Pioneer Of Modern Japanese Design. Riki Helped Establish The Japan Industrial Designers’ Association And Received Many Awards Including The Milan Triennale Exhibition Gold Award, The Mainichi Design Award, And The Japanese Medal Of Honor With Purple Ribbon Awarded By The Government Of Japan During His 102 Years Of Life. Today, Riki Is Known For Many Of His Award Winning Designs Including Furniture, Tableware, Clocks And Even Designed The Interior Of Hotels. His Series Of Wall Clocks And Desk Clocks Are Some Of The Most Frequently Reproduced In The World Today.
