The Silent Clock’S Frame Is Made With Aluminum Sand Casting And Lathing. The Dial’S Numerals Are Intended To Be Extremely Legible From Afar. And From Any Vantage Point. The Eki Wall Clock Is A Recipient Of The Good Design Award.

Takenobu Igarashi Is The Designer Of The World’S Largest Train Station Clock, Devised To Withstand Earthquakes And Equipped With Photovoltaic Panels. The “Big Clock Of Stars,” As It Is Known, Hangs On The Outer Wall Of Sapporo Station In Hokkaido, Japan. Another Clock Designed By Igarashi Is Located On Both The Station’S East And West Concourses. The Latter Serves As Inspiration For His Eki Wall Clock, Which Is Crafted By Lemnos.

Since 1947, Lemnos Has Been Dedicated To Crafting Clocks. This Japanese Brand Draws Its Inspiration From The Greek Island Of The Same Name, A Place Steeped In Mythology As The Abode Of Hephaestus, The Patron Deity Of Artisans. Lemnos Clocks Have Garnered Accolades, Including The Prestigious Good Design Award, Among Other Honors.
