Handmade By Aizawa Woodworks In Ishikawa Prefecture, This Tray Is Named Fukura After The Japanese Word “Fukkura”, Referencing The “Soft And Round” Shape. Trays Like These Are Traditionally Used To Serve A Set Meal Of Assorted Dishes In Japan; A Perfect Size To Hold A Main Dish, Rice Bowl, Soup Bowl, And Small Side Dishes For One Person. The Sides Are Elevated And Shaped For Easy Carrying, And The Chestnut Wood Is Finished Using A “Liquid Glass” Coating, Providing A Durable, Water Resistant, And Food Safe Layer While Preserving The Soft Natural Texture Of The Wood.
